This will be just a "safe arrival" posting. We did in fact make all of our flights and arrived in Frankfurt on time. With just a few (ok several) anxious moments Carolyn and I figured out where we actually needed to be to meet Woodie and Linda upon their arrival (since where we had planned wasn't going to work) and were very glad to see them exiting the Terminal A area. We road a train, a bus and walked about a mile and located the HERTZ location in Biebrich .. somewhat off the beaten path ... but according to Woodie not gathering the car at the airport saved us several Euros. We piled luggage and ourselves in the car, drove to Oppenheim and viewd a lovely Lutheran church that was built (initially) in the 1200's ... pictures later. Then we drove up the road to Rudeisheim and toured an Abby where the nuns grow acres of grapes and make the wine they sell ... very cool ... pictures later. Tomorrow we tour some Roman ruins up the road ... I'll try to post a better and more picturesque entry tomorrow but honestly ... I am a beat bunny and need to sleep!!

But holding the reservation is the most important part...

We arrived at the San Antonio airport only to find that according to united airlines we had no tickets... 
After 45 minutes of total confusion we were given boarding passes... oops... Of course UA says "not OUR fault... it's that nasty Air Canada... "

So we arrive in Houston and see that the flight we will be taking to Montreal is only 1minute late...  Good....  BUT... we have a SCHEDULED 2 MINUTE turn around to get back in the air headed to Montreal????  Huh????  Don't they have to re-fuel???

We have a planned 1 hour 8minute "layover" in Montreal to catch the ONLY flight to Frankfurt...  Hope we make it... Otherwise we sleep in Canada.

This is NOT starting well...
